Sony PS5 is on sale in majority of countries except India
Sony’s latest game console, the PS5, is finally on sale in most countries around the world. In some regions it was even released on the 12th. Customers who pre-ordered the console can now access it immediately. However, gamers in India will still have to wait for it as Sony India still has no release dates for the country. The latest official information Sony PlayStation India has released to fans is the price of the regular and digital edition of the console as well as the accessories.
And this delay doesn’t seem to be going well with the Indian gaming community, as most have used it on social media to vent their anger.
While there could be several reasons for the delay, according to MensXP sources, Sony doesn’t want a half-baked launch in India. This means that it tries to avoid a situation where consoles are not available to the majority of gamers at launch. This is an issue Microsoft has faced with the Xbox Series X console in the country.
But, as mentioned by The Mako Reactor website, the decision is made based on different factors. Sony India has its hands tied when it comes to announcing a release date for the country. Decisions for which regions get the PS5 are made globally on the basis of sales and lifetime value per user (i.e. the number of games, subscriptions, and other services than the users buy in addition to buying a console), the source explains. on the website.
So while all of this still indicates there is still some time before consoles are on the shelves, hopefully it will arrive sooner rather than later.
